What is Psychotherapy?

Psychotherapy is the treatment of the human soul, a way to reach the core of your being. It includes methods such as Transactional Analysis, Systemic Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Buddhist Psychotherapy, and Coaching.

How does psychotherapy work and what can I expect?

Phase I: The Beginning
The process starts when you reach out via email, phone, or SMS. In our first meeting, we discuss your concerns, get to know each other, and set your goals. If we establish trust and a collaborative foundation, we plan 5 to 10 sessions for a structured approach.

Phase II: The Hard Work
This phase can be emotionally challenging as we address uncomfortable topics, signaling that change is happening. We may set new goals to tailor the process to your needs.

Phase III: After the Hard Work
You will feel empowered and ready for change. You may choose to conclude therapy or schedule occasional “check-ins” to track progress.

What is couples therapy or couples coaching?

Couples therapy focuses on the soul of a relationship, helping to navigate crises. Couples coaching optimizes a healthy relationship, while couples counseling addresses specific issues. The boundaries between these approaches can often overlap.

What is coaching?

Coaching is personalized support on a process level. It focuses on developing solutions and achieving goals, suitable for both professional and private challenges. It is most effective when there are no underlying mental health issues.

How does coaching work with you?

At the beginning, we discuss your goals and check together whether they are realistic. Then, we formulate a clear goal and develop visions, suitable strategies, and concrete plans to achieve it. After a few weeks or months, we reflect on the progress and make adjustments if necessary.

What can I achieve through therapy or coaching?

Transforming pain into growth and learning means understanding past and present experiences in order to develop a shapeable future. It also involves taking responsibility for one’s actions and creating new perspectives.

What should I keep in mind during therapy or coaching?

Therapy and coaching are learning processes that can be challenging. Patience, self-love, and open communication are key. Resistance or uncertainty are part of the process and should be addressed openly, allowing both parties to work through them together.

What does your practice not offer?

I cannot change you or your partner, wave a magic wand, or guarantee that everything will be perfect. In the end, you must do the work yourself.
